What a fantastic way to end my day…visiting my usual blogs and finding THIS! AWESOME!! Thank you!
(I hope you’re feeling better, by the way)

i have a slight obsession with aprons as you may remember from here. my friend emily has her own little etsy shop where her vibrant color choices and delicious fabrics make for some serious swooning by yours truly. she loves what she does, i love what she does, and you will too. in her words:...

i have checked a million times!! who won??
and the winner is……..??????
i know it’s too late..but i want to win!
I know it is too late to enter to win (because I am slack and have not checked my e-mail in days and missed this wonderful opportunity), but my favorite is the pink and green apron on this page. LOVED Emily’s stuff. CUTE, CUTE, CUTE! Rena
The Amy Butler Apron is adorable!
All so wonderful! Love the Amy Butler tan and polka dot apron. Very cute!!!
cute cute cute. sewing IS awesome and emily’s stuff is so fun.
i’m loving the grew snow flower apron with blue pockets.

i’m loving the grew snow flower apron with full pockets.
Oh, I love this…as well as Mary Jo’s…as well as your photos Jen!!
I love the plum sugar apron! Cute girl and cute stuff, thanks Jenn!
So I love the lime green & teal paisley oven mitt…it goes with my new dining room colors
I also really like the daisy chain apron…same colors! Emily really does a beautiful job!
I love your aprons! I think my favorite is the chocolate brown with blue dots.
with the free spirit apron, i am certain to be in-style this summer…not just for it’s vibrant colors and fun loving pattern, but my commitment to bring it to great use…you see, i am no baker, cook nor pastery chef, but a spunky girl always looking for a laugh…and i do like to save a buck by conserving energy…isn’t that the buzz-word these days? so, like i said, this summer, i am certain to be an energy-conscious-fashionista while i don the free spirit apron as my staple uniform to garner a hearty laugh from my lucky-ish husband!
ps: pick me, pick me! remember, hubby clark is the REAL winner!
I’m a pink girl, so I’m loving the full pink apron with apple green pockets!
Love these aprons! My fav is the Olive Green and Star Paisley Full Apron. Thanks for making this fun!
Cute, cute, cute! I just bought new BORING oven mitts, and am full of regrets. I love the Carnaby print oven mitt!
*your
Please forgive. =)
Nothing like a giveaway to encourage a first blog comment! You’re photography is awesome…and so are the blue and green burp cloths!
I don’t think I can pick just one, they’re all so great! If I had to pick one, it would the red polka dotted apron, super cute. What every aspiring cook needs!
I LOVE the burp cloths! The colors are bright, but not too busy. I am always carrying one around for my 7 month old, and what a bonus if they are pretty– to clean up all the spit-up
I am impressed and will keep in mind for gift-giving ideas!
Ohhh – I go through aprons like crazy around here! And the girls INSIST on wearing their own when I’m baking. I can’t get them washed and back in the drawer fast enough… my favorite is the one on your blog, too. But – my girls would ADORE the Full Pink on etsy. Sign me up for mini versions if she ever starts making them
oh, how does one choose between the amy tan and the star paisley?!?! After ruing a few too many shirts with tomato sauce, i’m thinking this might totally come in handy. And how absolutely beautiful are they?!?!
They are all adorable…because I am a paisley kind of girl- green Star Paisley for me please.
Emily’s items are absolutely adorable! My fav is the Full Pink Apron with Apple Green Pockets – perfect to wear while making my weekly batch of applesauce! And the full pink apron means my hubby won’t be stealing it to shield himself from his newest grill creation!
all of them are so cute — i really like the lime green and teal paisley oven mitts.
Everthing is so cute! too bad I don’t need any cute burp cloths… so I would say oven mitt – all patterns are adorable… but the aprons are so cute, too… Watching Bree on DH makes me want to wear aprons more often
I don’t cook a whole lot, so I have never worn an apron. Poor Mark!! but I sure do love those turtle burp clothes! LOL!!
I can’t resist an opportunity to win an Emily Brown original! I love all of her work. I’d say my fav is AB Tan & Mustard polka dot, with the Grey Snow Flower as a very close second! And it goes without saying that I ADORE every photo on this blog! Thank you God for giving my sweet friends such a special talent!
if i have to choose…so hard to do, but i’m going with the plum sugar snap full apron.
I love that they are all handmade, and by someone you know & love. I would have to choose the lime green teal paisley oven mitt, but the aprons are great also!
I don’t own an apron but if I did it would be one of these. They are so much fun!! I like the one you have featured even though it’s not on her site. If I were choosing from the site it would have to be the “Amy Butler Tan and Mustard Polka Dot Full Apron” I like the contrast of plain on patterned. And I love your blog Jen!!
My oven mitts are embarrassing! They need to be thrown out immediately!! So I LOVE the lime green and teal paisley one!!!
Ooooh! These are so sassy! I really like the Full Pink Apron with Apple Green Pockets. If I win, I will surely have to find a great cupcake recipe to try out while donning the cuteness!
Free Spirit Green and Blue Medallions Full Apron would be my fav. I love that big bold pattern! And I need a new apron! My old one will be too big soon!
Oh Jen -I love your blog and and I love contests and I love those Aprons! I would be happy with any but today I think my favorite would be the Amy Butler Tan and Mustard Polka Dot Full Apron
seriously?! i have to choose one favorite. impossible. well the free spirit green caught my eye…the name and the fun pattern of course. and the plum sugar and red polka dot are fun too. and of course the birp cloths are fun. i mean-who doesn’t want something fun to barf on!? i know Charis does!
Amy Butler Tan and Mustard Polka Dot Full Apron…….so if i don’t win the other one, jennifer you are welcome to wrap this number up for my next box- or easter- whichever you’d prefer. these are so pretty-
Jane would love the Daisy Chain!
I must say…I have had my eye on the Plum Sugar Snap Full Apron for a while…but the one you picture here I think I like better and I don’t see it on her etsy site! It would be a little unfair of me to win, since I won an oven mit (which I use EVERY day) from her in December…but a girl can dream, right????

she wondered how she would be as a mom. i knew she’d be amazing. he hinted about his fears of raising a girl. not a doubt in my mind that he’d be great. baby charis has only been here for three months but it’s obvious that amy and adam were born to parent this girl....

Jen – I’m hard pressed to say which is more beautiful – the photos or your words. Maybe it’s a push. But your words strike something deep inside of me that longs for Caroline to know the kind of freedom and love you write about. Thanks for sharing.
i think i forgot to comment on how much i love all the happiness you captured in all these!
love just comes out of these photos…as mom and mawmaw
this fills my heart…thanks jen
precious! i luv it! my fav is the black and white 1!
Jen, your gift for words is unrivaled! I might have to put you in a blogger time out just so the rest of us don’t look so bad
Keep up the good work!
LOVE THESE!
What unbelievably fabulous pictures of the cutest family ever! Wonderful!
those are simply fabulous!! I need to make another visit to see that sweet girl very soon!!
awesome awesome awesome!
Love them Jen! I especially love the one with Charis snuggling on Adam’s shoulder with Amy looking over it and Charis is just slyly smiling, thinking, “I am so loved and I know it”.
Love the one of Amy with her eyes closed consuming all that sweetness. Captures that feeling like words can’t.
I am dying over the coloring in these images, so beautiful!
How cute are they?! These are crazy good!
what can i say… three of the most beautiful people i know …and love. you have captured their joy ..and my heart. thanks jen.

if i’m honest, i just want the light to turn green. i get uncomfortable. like the kind of discomfort that brings on sweaty palms and a twitchy eye. i try not to make eye contact but on the rare chance i do, i immediately divert my eyes. it’s as if somewhere down deep i believe...

I love this post. Your thoughts mimic my exact thought process as well. Such an easy way to make a huge impact in someone’s day. Thanks for sharing!!
Love this idea Jen! I often feel that way too. I am going to make some bags. Makes for a great excuse to get to Target today!
wow. That really touched my heartstrings. You make people want to be better people Jen!!
Jen.. what a GREAT idea! i’ve been searching my heart to find out ways i can do something special for God. thank you for allowing Him to use you in my search. i would like to add just a note to say “if you were the only person in the world, Christ would die just for you because He loves you so much”. we have been praying for the homeless in our sunday school class. this is awesome. and I agree with amy….can you get anymore awesome??
Wow, that is a very thoughtful idea. A lot of people will give the money but to take it on your on accord and give your time as well is very inspirational.
Jen you are a special person with a BIG heart
beautiful thoughts and kind gestures. A friend of a friend was similarly inspired. She had as small idea that has blossomed into a non profit and she is now going back to school for social work. check out http://helpbags.org/ and they have a facebook page as well.
can you really get anymore amazing? yes. so, i had a friend that made some bags with toothpaste, toothbrush, some soap too and i think even a washcloth (in addition to snacks of course).
You really are an inspiration Jen!
Awesome idea, Jen!
great! i luv the idea! Mrs. Saunders used to do that to! except yours is a little more creative! i luv the tags!
I love your heart – hugs to you!
I absolutely love this idea! Even though it’s something small.. small things really go add up
Thanks for such an inspiring post!
Jen- such a great idea!! that is so easy to do! i must admit you have given me no excuse now to turn my head again! and it takes away those thoughts of- if i give them this money will they really buy food with it. Love it!! Thanks girl!
a beautiful heart is what you have. love it.
this is a beautiful idea. i’m tearing up. for real. i think it’s an AMAZING gesture. It shows love in one of it’s most basic forms-treating someone with humanity.
love what you’re doing. you’ve inspired me to do the same. typically i just carry extra umbrellas and pass them out to people who are walking in the rain without one. but…i like the idea of adding this.
what a beautiful heart.
