a sweet surprise

so, last night after an amazing shoot with the cutest little family ever, chris and i headed over to our friends’ home for a dessert and coffee date. now, when i have guests over for dessert, i usually prepare brownies, strawberry shortcake or maybe some chocolate fondue if i’m feeling reallly fancy. but not my friend tricia. she’s a pull out all the stops kind of girl. i walked into her home last night and saw THIS sitting on the table – a perfect little birthday cake just for me!
