music has a way of unraveling my soul. it’s a part of my every day. i like to cook with the avett brothers or christine kane, edit pictures with greg laswell, the weepies or ingrid michaelson. slow dance in the living room to otis redding and worship with bebo norman. it doesn’t even have to be good music. nothing takes me back to middle school like a little funky cold medina or some bell biv devoe. in highschool, i was crazy about this guy who loved country music. was i going to tell him that i preferred the music on Kiss 95.1? no way. i tuned in to our local country station, put a cassette tape in my tape recorder and hit record. the next time i saw him, i attempted to impress him with these lyrics:
I’ve got sixteen speakers crossin’ my back dash
A little bobbin’ dog watchin’ everybody pass
Dual antennas whippin’ in the wind
Lord, there ain’t a country station that I can’t tune in
She ain’t a Cadillac and she ain’t a Rolls
But there ain’t nothin’ wrong with the radio
yup. i was cool even back then.
meet annie and brad. the love of music is what brought them together. they both followed the same band and met after a concert. i initially met annie over a cup of coffee. she has one of those pied piper personalities. her laugh is as melodious as the piper’s flute and you want to stay close to her if only to please your ears. she loves a sweet and funny boy named brad. and after this shoot, we did too. they’re getting married in march and we cannot wait!

love the emotion in this next series

and then we were introduced to the falcon graveyard. awesome.

annie, you're beautiful

looooove this next one

the parting shot..compliments of chris.
