tyler is the kind of boy that you want your daughter to bring home. he’s handsome, sweet, polite, funny, college bound and has a realistic eye on a career as a professional baseball player.

best of luck tyler as you head off to school. we’re looking forward to grabbing our big league chew and cheering you on at turner field one day.

right before our shoot, her mom asked if she wanted any mascara. no thanks, she smiled, i just want to be natural. i flashed back to my high school days. i would sit in front of the mirror for hours layering coats of loreal’s voluminous mascara in the blackest black i could find to ensure that i looked edgy and dramatic in case someone wanted to take my picture when i got to rite aide. when it came to my hair, movement was not a good thing and rave hairspray was my bff. when my boyfriend got a cool, new jeep i cried literal tears when he suggested we ride to our date with the top down. poor, poor jason wilkins.

but, back to chelsea. she’s not like any other high school girl i’ve ever met. she is not some knock off, this girl is the real deal. she’s smart and silly and confident in her own, unique style. her room is the lime-iest of lime greens and she is often trying to convince her family that her hamster, lenny, is not just a big rat – the jury is still out. when she sees you she squeals in a you’re-just -the-person-i-was-hoping-to-see kind of way and throws her arms around you . her dad goes completely soft when she smiles, her mom still refers to her as her baby girl and her brothers won’t stay out of her room. they just want to be close to her and i don’t blame them.

chelsea, you are beautiful and for whatever reason, sometimes you just need a reminder.

she loves music and plays a mean piano. she loves being barefoot and urban outfitters. she loves the beach and her funny friend sarah. amber is poised, beautiful, sweet and silly. she is a senior this year and heading off to college in the fall and these are her senior pictures. i love them. i hope you do too. and by the way, don’t you think she looks like she could be a sister to actress, rachel weisz?

dear members of the student council, i’d like to submit my nominations for this year’s senior superlatives for your consideration. best hair: ginger, best smile: ginger, most fashionable: ginger, cutest laugh: ginger, sweetest spirit: ginger, kindest: ginger, coolest: ginger, and best all-around: ginger. no, this is not her mother, this is her photographer. i was lucky enough to spend some time shooting her senior pictures and she seriously rocked my world with her awesomeness. she is beautiful inside and out. her adorable parents sat on a blanket together talking and gazing in our direction as we laughed and posed and enjoyed their daughter. there was this one moment when i caught their glance and i thought for the first time in my life i had the ability to read someone’s mind. and here is what i read: wow. that’s our girl. she is fearfully and wonderfully made. we are ridiculously proud to call her ours and beyond grateful that she is His. now, i am not a mind reader, i’m just sayin’ if i was.
