i’m a list maker. they make me happy. sometimes, i write things on my list that i’ve already done just so i can check them off and feel accomplished. it’s sick, i know, but it’s me. here is my happy family check list for photographing this adorable family of six. family who scouts out cool and interesting spots on their own for our shoot – check. family who dresses in fun, vibrant colors – check. children who make insanely cute and funny faces during our time together – check. daddy who points out to his children how beautiful their mommy is – check. family who talks all at once creating a symphony of voices that makes me want to dance – check. mommy who rocks out a cowboy hat – check. family that loves being together and invites me along to be a witness to their story -check.

i just had to put this one in since chris and i have laughed until it hurt looking at it. i have no idea what inspired carrigan to suddenly go all ninja on our camera, but i'm so glad she did.
