she walked out of her bedroom looking like a runway model in her vibrant, floor length, purple halter dress. he didn’t need one of those cartoon thought bubbles to appear over his head for everyone in the room to know what he was thinking. she looked unbelievable and everyone knew it, especially alan. he asked her if he should change. faith didn’t say a word but instead smiled and pointed to a pressed shirt that was hanging in the adjoining room. he put it on and walked out looking very intently at his sleeve. ‘does this have pink in it?’ ‘he’s colorblind,’ she told us with a wink. ‘i’m serious faith, you better tell me if this is pink,’ he continued. apparently no one informed alan that pink is the new black. he walked back in the room to grab his rainbows and she whispered to us, “ok, so it’s got a little purple in it, but no pink.” i loved them instantly. loved the carefree, comfortable way they interacted. loved how unfazed they were when it started raining. loved how taking pictures was not really alan’s thing, but because making faith happy is, he was an amazing sport. we’re sad that we weren’t available to shoot their wedding, but so grateful to get to spend time with them at their engagement session. their big day is coming up. which day? this one:

they're city lovin' folks, so we headed uptown
