it’s a kind of comfort that you just can’t fake. when we asked them to look at each other, they didn’t get squirmy and avert their eyes. they looked at one another deeply and we knew they really saw each other. when we asked them to get close, adam swept his bride up in his arms and lauren’s laughter filled up our space. saturday morning they said i do, again. it was their anniversary and they were renewing their vows. he tied her corset into a perfect bow. she adjusted his vest. he worried that she was getting too cold and she worried about um..nothing. they laughed and kissed and shared a secret kind of smile that only two people who have loved each other for more than a decade can possibly understand.
lauren and adam asked us to photograph their vow renewal and we had to regretfully decline since we were already shooting a wedding that day. (more on cheryl anne and david’s amazing wedding soon!) so, lauren asked if we could meet them that morning to snap some pictures beforehand and we were thrilled to say yes. lauren got her hair done at 5:30 in the morning and met us at 7. now that’s dedication! it was early. it was freezing and it was SO worth it.

no wonder adam can't take his eyes off of her, she knows how to work it.

these next few are some of my absolute favs. love the emotion.

morning light is the BEST

lauren brought her favorite book to use as a prop and this next picture cracks me up. it is SO her.
