as we’ve been working on changing our logo and reinventing our brand, i’ve been paying close attention to the things that my eyes are drawn to. it’s just stuff. trinkets that don’t mean much in the big picture of my world but that just make me smile day to day. this is like a visual journal of things that make me happy as i walk through my house. i love colanders. is that ridiculous, or what? fill them up with fresh berries or bowtie pasta and they’re even better.

bowls are a weakness of mine, especially the dainty ones.

we have these little shelves on either side of our sink and it's the perfect spot for a touch of holiday whimsy.

i like to decorate with things that we actually use. the cup on the right says daily cup and it's my go to mug in the morning.

this is the first spot i look when i walk into my kitchen and it's just not the same without a fresh flower.

dishes are my least favorite chore, but pretty textiles make being in the kitchen much more bearable.

i am not a gift bag kind of girl. i like to wrap with pretty papers and ribbons.

i came home one day and found this masterpiece in my office. the flowers are all magnets. he loved giving this to me, and i loved receiving it.

in 2010 i've resolved to write more notes. no more email thank you's or internet greetings. seeing these handwritten valentines waiting to be mailed out makes my heart happy.
