this little munchkin is well loved, of this i am certain. of course he’s going to remember this. the way that his daddy’s strong arms made him feel safe and calm when he felt a little scared.
and the way his mama unashamedly sang sweet i love you's to soothe him when he was sad.
and how her kisses almost immediately quieted his cry.
but what i hope he never forgets is the way his parents love each other. it made my heart skip to hear the kind words they used with each other. how they were encouraging and comfortable in their ways. how they didn't miss a chance to get close and share a private joke. when i set up this next shot, i asked them to move in closer to each other but not to kiss. they did what i asked perfectly but when my camera lowered i heard silke say, "i can't get this close and not give you a kiss.." a little giggle and then the sound of their lips meeting. what a beautiful gift to give their son.
