in all their years of waiting, she’s better than they could have dreamed her up to be. sydney looks like a little doll with wispy blonde hair that defies gravity when her daddy tosses her in the air. she lets out a loud squeak. it’s the kind of total abandonment that comes from a deep rooted sense of trust. she knows that he’s going to catch her, always has and always will. she has a little button nose and a tongue that spends as much time outside of her mouth as it does in it. she is well loved and one day she’ll get to hear the story of how they waited for her. wished for her. hoped for her. and then how when she came, she was like all great gifts..just what they always wanted.

i had to put this picture in because i wanted you to see with your own eyes the kind of joy that says, i have everything i could ever want right here in front of me.

ok, seriously, doesn't she look like the perfect little stocking stuffer?

that was chris's angle and the next is mine. i couldn't pick because i love the snuggliness of both so much.

eat.her.up.
