i love that this blog is an opportunity to show off my beautiful friends and their families. i feel like there have been lots of them on here lately. i feel reallllly fortunate to be surrounded by some pretty incredible people. jennifer is one of those girls that i liked right away when we met 5 years ago. she’s got a wry sense of humor and a quick wit. she’s a great cook and when she invites you to dinner and you ask her what you can bring, she always says, just yourself. i love that about her. when you spend time with her, all she wants is you. now, brett has many great qualities but one of his finest..he brews his own beer. and shares it.
they have two girls, makena and reese. to say that i am crazy about them would be an enormous understatement. to say that they are crazy about us would be an understatement as well. this is why our relationship works. we have balance.

makena is SO photogenic and there were so many shots to choose from but i love this one. i love the way her curls are blowing. i love her easy, relaxed smile. and i love the way her eyes have something to say that is way beyond her four years.
yes, i am well aware that these next three look very similar. but i love these faces and i couldn't choose.

i cannot even tell you how much i love these next two. brett's face is so cute as his little mini me daughter covers his head in kisses.
